The Country Club West Owners Association was established in January 1992 by Iowa Realty. The first plats of the Country Club West and Country Club Woods were developed in the City of Clive during 1992 on the eastern most edge of Dallas County, Iowa.
Country Club Woods was added to the Country Club West Owners Association in September of 1992. Over the next several years several additional plats were added to Country Club West and Country Club Woods. Today the Association is commonly referred to as the Country Club West/Woods Homeowners Association with a combined total of 651 lots, 645 single family homes, and 2 churches spanning both the City of Clive and the City of Waukee. There are also common areas totaling over 10 acres as well as 2 city parks, significant green space, and a bike trail within the association boundaries.
